As a courtesy it is always wise to consult the Minister. Some churches do not allow flowers on the Altar, but can be on the Reredos or an Arrangement either side.
Ideal Placements are at the Chancel steps, flowers in front of the Pulpit or Garland decoration for the Hand Rail on the Pulpit. Flowers can be placed in side chapels or in front of prominent
statues. Pew ends, Cascade Arrangements on pillars, flowers on the front cover or in front of the font.
Pedestal Arrangements can be placed in the Entrance depending on the size of the Church. The Lynch Gate can be decorated also the front entrance of the Church on some altars the candles are only lit
for certain feast days or services. Flowers would be more simple in certain churches than others which are very ornately decorated. |
